Class description:
This class will be focusing on exploring techniques of Landscape painting with Oils and Acrylics. The class will begin with a fundamental discussion of working outside, mediums, materials and tools. We will discuss techniques of under-painting, mixing, graying, atmosphere, mood, depth/distance, warm and cool, relationships) Glazes, scumbling and care of tools. We will also discuss a variety of on-going practical studio tips for the artist. Then we will move out side to explore the mountains, trees and fields that surround my property. There is a spacious screened in porch and covered deck where students can work in case of rain. Classes are small so each student receives individual attention addressing their particular skill level. At the end of the day we will gather in the main studio to look at work and share discoveries.
 
Artist of all levels are welcome to join.
